Korea part 4 - Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak

Following the tangerine orchard, we headed straight for the Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. This is at the easternmost part of Jeju Island where one can get to see the first peek of the sun daily, hence, earning this part of the island the name of "Sunrise Peak". This area is a volcanic crater with vertical cliffs that rises up from the shore. The last volcanic eruption was more than 100,000 years ago. The panoramic views of the surroundings at the Sunrise Peak is breathtaking.

Fertility rock where people have believed this to bring about fertility

Do you see the little boats in the middle of the picture? Those are the places where the local women in Jeju bring their daily catch up before they sell it to the public. We didn't manage to go down and take a better look although it was permitted. It's a must if you want to come here :)
