Ban Leong Wah Hoe Seafood

This is another one of my backposts. I remember we went to Ban Leong this time with our family. The parking there is definitely by chance and when I say this, I do mean you need to have time to find for parking. If not, just park further and walk to Ban Leong.

Ban Leong Wah Hoe Seafood
122 Casuarina Road
Singapore

In case you are wondering where it is, it is along Upper Thomson Road where Casuarina Curry is. Anyhow, let's get to the food.

Prawn paste chicken or Ha Cheong Kai (in cantonese)
The prawn paste chicken is good especially when it's hot and fresh from the kitchen :)

steamed garlic prawns
Next we have the steamed garlic prawns which were really good. The presentation did make me think of the Little Mermaid where all the sea creatures were singing and dancing with Ariel. Erm, other than the fact that we are not just 'watching' them now but we are also walloping them into our tummies. hehehe

Stir fried vegetables with garlic

I was a tad too late for the picture as you can see from the half eaten vegetables. It was piping hot when it arrived at our table so hence, the 'vicious attack'.

Black pepper crab
Sorry for the blur image taken of the black pepper crab. This is as good as it gets. The crab is fresh and nope, the flesh doesn't stick to its shell. I had that kind of experience in another place so it kinda suck when I thought about it. Shan't name the place here till I go there and review the crabs once more. Provided I can get over that incident.

Chilli crab

Do not be fooled. The chilli crab hasn't been touched for a reason. For the strangest reasons, the family usually 'attack' the chilli crab last as it has to be gotten down with the fingers, licking of the chilli gravy etc.

Yes enough said about the food. Ban Leong is a place with fresh seafood that you have bring your whole family there. No reservations so it's a first come first served kind of place. Try to go earlier than 7pm so that the crowd will probably be still on their way ;)
