sponge cakes....

Finally, sponge cakes!!! Cakes that many of us are probably so familiar with.

yes!! checkerboard pandan kaya cake!! it's really interesting though the layers aren't even. Well, that can be improved with more practice. Yes, now I need more guinea pigs hiak hiak


chocolate sponge cake....surprised to see the 'ugly' looks of the cake at its rawness? For a baker or a budding baker, this cake is considered pretty because of the little holes on the cake all around. It would show that the cake is extremely soft and light because of the air bubbles (aka little holes) formed in the cake batter before baking.
